Dexter is truly one of the sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Every time I’ve gotten in his car, I’ve immediately felt comfortable and welcomed. He has picked me up on such short notice more times than I can count, and he has always gone out of his way to be kind, patient, and accommodating. What started as just getting rides has turned into always being happy to see Dexter. He has such a warm and genuine personality that makes you feel safe and at ease, and you can tell he truly cares about the people he drives. I’m so grateful for all the times he’s helped me out when I needed a ride, and I genuinely couldn’t recommend him enough. Hey Dexter, as this semester is coming to an end I just wanted to say thank you for everything. You drove me everywhere all semester, always made sure I got home safe, and were someone I knew I could always call no matter what. You saw me through both my highs and lows this year and always gave me advice when I needed it most. I’m so grateful for everything you do and for how much you’ve been there for me this semester. You made me feel safe and supported in a time where I really needed it. I’m going to miss seeing you all the time, but I already look forward to seeing you again in the fall. I’m currently a sophomore at Miami who lived in Peabody my freshman year. I started riding with Dexter at the start of my first semester and can’t wait to see him again next year. I always have such a good time with Dexter, hearing stories about his life and having group discussions with my friends. A ride with Dexter is always lively! By the end of my freshman year, I felt like Dexter and I knew each other personally. He always knew what was going on in my life, and vice versa. That kind of relationship is something you can’t get with competitors like Uber or Lyft.
Dexter, he’s seriously the best ever!! Not only has he been driving me around Oxford for the past 2 years, but he also has become a very dear friend of mine. When I heard he was starting to sell merch I knew I had to buy it. It’s the perfect oversized comfy sweatshirt and every time I put it on I’m reminded of the awesome human Dexter is!! He brings a positive energy every time my friends and I see him and I couldn’t be more grateful to have met him. I know he not only has been this presence for myself, but tons of students throughout his time as an Uber and friend. So make sure to get your merch to support and represent, well the best and only name to describe him—the absolute GOAT!
